Pinterest Paint

Well, I'm wrapping it up folks... If you're reading this post, check out the other 4, yes FOUR, posts that I made tonight...

And hallelujah this one is from my phone... All is right in my technology world again:)

I saw this idea on pinterest to make paint with flour, food coloring, and water... Rowan wouldn't let me really get into it because she was demanding attention, so I decided to wing it.

I knew she wouldn't try to eat the "paint" but we've had issues with "washable" in the past and I didn't want to have a stained skinned child again.

So my paint didn't really come out that well on the paper. Maybe reading the directions would have been helpful, but Rowan had a great time.

Migrating to skin painting... As I had envisioned...

We are gearing up to have another wonderful weekend!

Broken Arm!!!

So we had a little accident.  Our ever adventurous Rowan fell off of a chair on Friday. Yes, she cried... but it wasn't that bad.  Ro is really tough.  I wonder where she gets her pain tolerance? ;)

This is Saturday: Notice no cast/splint.. Happy as a clam.
Well, getting ready for church on Sunday, she slipped and fell again in some water near the shower.  And cried some more... So we figured we better take her in for xrays.  By the time we drove all the way to Austin, she was all smiles.  So we figured we wasted our time and money.  Right?!
 Wrong!
All splinted up after finding a broken radius and ulna...

Learning how to eat again... using a fork with the left  hand is now much easier, but for a while it was tough work.  We resorted back to hands...

But we were still up for playtime :)
Thursday: We finally got to see the orthopedic dr for a cast.

SO happy!!! Rowan was amazing.  She didn't even care.

Only 3 weeks and we can go back to swimming.... Until then we have to stay dry. (Easier said than done).
Aside from the concerned look of strangers, we are doing really well.  Rowan doesn't mind the cast at all... reminds her of when she's had IV's and had her arms taped up probably.

Pretty much, we are living a normal crazy toddler life lately!  It's fabulous!  Our next check up in Houston will be May 16... woo hoo- cast will be off by then.

Buzz Lightyear and Easter

Meet Buzz.  He is our new best friend.  We do everything with him... including try to feed him.
 See?!

The Easter Bunny was pretty traumatic.  Rowan was really excited to see him up until the point we asked her to sit on his lap.  The smile turned to tears and we did not get a photo... but hey- we saved 20 bucks :)
Easter Egg hunting was fun.  Rowan really liked sharing her eggs.

Easter morning she found Toy Story 2 in her basket... And has been obsessed with it ever since.
After church... Such a beautiful day.

Annnnnd back to Buzz...  He even goes swimming :)

Down the slide!

LIVER WALK 2012

The drive to Houston wasn't too bad...
Rowan really doesn't appreciate long car rides because she has too much energy.  But we arrived at our hotel and immediately put on swimsuits for the pool!

No pictures of the pool because let me tell you... the. child. is. crazy!  Rowan doesn't realize she can't swim, so constant supervision must be spent on her and not on photos. But she LOVED it!

Unfortunately, the night was horrible.  She woke up every 2 hours saying "Go" and "Home"... but we finally survived and morning came for the walk! Girlfriend loves her own room and bed :)

 stretching...

 TEAM ROWAN!!!
Baby Collins making her debut in this photo... Coming to meet us in early July :)
We ended up walking 5 miles instead of a 5K... but it was all worth it!  We got to visit with some other liver families and see our favorite hepatologist (Rowan's Doctor)

Who's fault is this?!

SO this is not my fault....
my phone and my computer are not letting me post!!!

I am about a month behind and its driving me crazy...
If it works this time, be ready for a post explosion!

 Watering her flowers...
nothing like a good ripe banana

this picture just doesn't do the bluebonnets justice... they were so beautiful.

And again, this was in March!
